The Brown Palace is offering all Tourism Day at the Capitol Attendees a special rate of $149/night. This offer is good for the evening of January 23 and must be booked by January 13. Tourism Day Transportation:
You can drive, walk, or ride the bus to the State Capitol. Please allow enough time get to the State Capitol and through security. You can enter security through the north side of the State Capitol which places you on the first floor, or the south side which places you in the basement.
Taking the 16th Street Mall Bus:
You can take the light rail to the 16th Street Mall Bus and then ride free to the south end. You then will walk to Colfax Avenue (1 block south) and toward the State Capitol (east) 1.5 more blocks.
RTD:
RTD has many drops offs around the State Capitol. Please consult a current bus schedule to find a drop off time that allows enough additional time to get through security at the State Capitol. More information on RTD.
The following is a list of parking options:
1. Pay parking lot between Colfax Ave. and 14th Ave. on Grant St. (credit cards accepted)
2. Metered parking on both sides of Grant St. south of 14th Ave. (2 hour max-quarters required)
3. Pay parking on Lincoln St. and 16th Ave.
4. Metered parking on both sides of Sherman St.
5. Pay parking at the SW corner of 13th Ave. and Logan St.
6. Pay parking at the NW corner of 12th Ave. and Sherman St.
7. Pay parking on 14th Ave. and Acoma St., south of the Denver Public Library.
8. Metered parking on any street downtown and many pay parking garages.
