Directions: From Denver: Take 285 south to Hwy. 160 in Monte Vista turn right and follow Highway 160 west for 30 miles. From Grand Junction: Take Highway 50 south to Highway 114 to Saguache then follow Highway 285 to Monte Vista and take Highway 160 west for 30 miles, or take Highway 149 south along The Silver Thread Scenic Byway to South Fork. From Albuquerque, NM: Take I-25 to Sante Fe, then take 285 north to Alamosa. Here you will turn left and take Highway 160 west 45 miles. From Durango: Take 160 east for 99 miles over Wolf Creek.
