Directions: Take US 550 (the San Juan Skyway) to Silverton. Drive through town on the paved main street. Just past the courthouse and museum turn right on County Road 2. Continue 2 miles passing the Mayflower Mill where the road becomes gravel then 2 more miles to ghost town of Howardsville, cross creek and turn right on County Road 4. Continue 1/4 mile taking a left fork onto City Road 4-A, 3/4 mile to the mine. Follow blue and white "Mine Tour" directional signs located along the way on the county roads.
