The Wild Animal Sanctuary

30 miles northeast of Denver. See more than 200 lions, tigers, bears, leopards, cougars, wolves and other carnivores rescued from illegal or abusive situations, roaming free in species-specific habitats on 320 acres of open grassland. The sanctuary is open to visitors daily, 9am-4pm (except holidays and bad weather) for educational and viewing purposes.

Directions: From Denver, take I-25 north to I-76 east; go east on I-76 to exit 31 (town of Hudson) - turn right on Highway 52 and go east 4 miles to County Road 53 — turn right on County Road 53 and go 3 miles south to Sanctuary entrance.
