Directions: Driving between Alamosa and Pagosa Springs, turn North off U.S Hwy. 160 onto SH 149, the Silver Thread Scenic Byway, at South Fork, 21 miles to Creede. Traveling U.S. Hwy. 50 between Gunnison and Montrose, turn South at Blue Mesa Reservoir onto SH 149 to Lake City, 52 miles to Creede. From Denver, take U.S. Hwy. 285 South to intersect with U.S. Hwy. 160 West, or take I-25 to Walsenburg and then U.S. Hwy. 160 West toward Alamosa.
