Press Visits
The Colorado Tourism Office is pleased to welcome journalists to Colorado. Throughout the year the CTO hosts both group and individual media trips that highlight Colorado's great outdoors and recreation, rich history and heritage, endless culinary and cultural experience and infinite discovery adventures. Upcoming group press trips include:
- “A Colorado Gold Rush” (Culture and heritage focused trip, October 8-12, 2008): In celebration of the 150th anniversary of Colorado’s gold rush the CTO invites journalists to explore Colorado’s “Old West” heritage including mine and ghost town tours, horseback riding on trails of the Old West, a ride a historic train and visits to the famed restaurants, hotels and attractions that shaped the state’s storied past. We will be visiting Denver, Central City, Leadville, Cripple Creek and Colorado Springs.
- “High Altitude Adventures” (Adventure-inspired trip, June 2009): This trip will focus on outdoor adventure activities such as rafting, hiking, fly fishing, biking as well as some new and emerging sports (e.g. sledging, mountain boarding, etc.) Areas TBD.
