Durango

This mountain was once called Purgatory. Not quite heaven, but close enough, Durango is the southwestern-most ski and snowboarding resort in Colorado. Skiers and boarders from three states, not counting Coloradans, take the short drive to this easily accessed area. If you have the need for fresh backcountry bowls and a laid-back on-mountain flow then definitely hit up Durango.
