Colorado’s World of Beer, the Hoppiest Place on Earth

Beer, a beverage so popular they wrote a famous song about it, you know, “you take one down, pass it around…” yeah, that one. It’s a documented fact that Denver has more breweries per capita than any other U.S. city, not bad. But it isn’t quantity over quality here, to make it in the Colorado beer world, your brews have to be top notch, and increasingly, environmentally conscience. New Belgium, a Fort Collins brewer, with such labels as Fat Tire and Blue Paddle, is one of the first craft breweries to go nearly 100-percent green. Beer tours and tastings in Colorado are free and easy to find. Coors Brewing Company, one of the largest brewers in the world is also a Colorado brand, with its brewery situated in Golden. Other craft companies to consider include Odell, Flying Dog and Boulder Beer Company.
