Durango Arts Center
Set your gaze on something beautiful—or create it yourself—at this interactive art center. Exhibits are one of the main elements of the Durango Arts Center (DAC), and artistic creations are constantly updated for public viewings. During one month, a juror-selected pastel series may be showcased, while the next, woodcarvings may take the spotlight. The DAC strives to keep its displays as diverse as the creativity from which they spawned. Being a community-oriented facility, they also hold regular classes to teach individuals—especially children—the joy of creating art through many mediums, including on-stage performances. Head to the second floor for the DAC Children's Museum, created specifically for emerging minds.
