Incorporated in 1884, this historic livestock town hosts The World's Largest Open Rodeo every July 2-4. The bronco-bucking action is open for anyone to enter. Festivities include a Cowboy Breakfast, ice cream social and an impressive fireworks display. Stop by during the last week of September for the annual Brush Balloon Bash, when brightly colored, gigantic hot-air balloons take flight.

Top off these festive days with a night under the stars. The Brush Municipal Campground offers your first night of camping free — it's only $10 a night thereafter.

Brush is known for pristine water. Drawn straight from the Beaver Creek Aquifer, this town's water is so pure that it doesn't even need chlorine before it's ready to drink. The Brush Area Museum and Cultural Center contains a little bit of everything: artifacts, photographs and rotating historical exhibits. Memorial Park offers lush, picnic-perfect grass and a swimming pool.
