Overview
The South Fork Visitor Center is located in Southern Colorado by Wolf Creek Ski Area at the junction of highways 149 & 160. South Fork is on the Silverthread Scenic Byway--a 117 mile stretch linking the mountain towns of South Fork, Creede, Lake City & Gunnison. Enjoy the Rio Grande National Forest and the San Luis Valley, featuring hiking, jeeping, gold medal fishing, ATV trails, rafting & camping. South Fork is the closest town to Wolf Creek Ski Area, which boasts of no lift lines & the most snow in Colorado!
