"The Moffat Road - 100 Years of Rails to the Yampa Valley" features the railroad's history with detailed dioramas, a virtual train trip, intriguing photos and artifacts. The railway was the dream of banker David Moffat who spent his entire fortune (and broke his heart) attempting to build a line from Denver to the Salt Lake. It never reached its final destination, but did change the remote valley's history. This visually exciting exhibit will lead the visitor over the treacherous Corona Pass down to the beautiful Yampa River valley.
