Estes Park Rails in the Rockies: 02/13-02/14/2010
Model railroad enthusiasts will fall in love with Estes Park’s Rails in the Rockies. This annual event brings together everyone from the truly dedicated model train expert to the wide-eyed child. A variety of model trains will whistle through elaborate, decorative and creative landscapes. Scale models representing trains ranging from the age of steam power to modern diesel engines will be on display. Attending kids will delight in the specially designed “Kids Layout,” where they’ll be able to control a locomotive on their own. In addition to hands-on activities for the little ones, a Harry Potter train set will also be given to a lucky attendee.

Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce Fat Tuesday: 2/16/2010
“Laissez les bon temps roulez!” Let the good times roll! This February, Pueblo will again embrace the Mardi Gras celebration. Complete with zydeco music from world-touring Creole Zydeco Farmers, this year’s festivities prove to be the most raucous yet. In addition to thigh-slapping rhythms from the Louisiana-based band, rib-sticking food and drinks will also be available. With the event taking place in the Pueblo Convention Center, space is ample for this Fat Tuesday gathering, so plan on letting loose during this annual event.
