The Springs Resort: Pagosa Springs
The deepest natural hot springs in the world are found in Pagosa Springs. The mineral-laden water is cooled to varying degrees in the resort’s 18 distinct pools. The San Juan River flows along the length of the resort, and in the early morning, mist rises off the surface of the pools engulfing the atmosphere in a thick shroud of vapors. At Wiesbaden Hot Springs Spa & Lodge geothermal-heated water ebbs up through rocks and is caught in natural and man-made pools, both above ground and in the vapor cave. Conundrum Hot Springs: Aspen
Found at the end of a nine-mile hike are Conundrum Hot Springs - 100 degrees Fahrenheit of paradise. But once you extend the effort to get here, the reward is great—tucked tightly into the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness Area, the surroundings couldn’t be more fitting for natural tranquility. This 180,000-acre wilderness area is home to six mountain peaks higher than 14,000 feet.

From Aspen, drive toward Ashcroft for five miles on Castle Creek Road, then turn right on Conundrum Road. The trailhead is one mile after the turnoff on an unimproved road.
Strawberry Park Hot Springs: Steamboat Springs
Stonework walls encase three pools in the Strawberry Park Hot Springs, each at varying temperatures. Sink deep into the warm, mineral-enriched waters as five man-made waterfalls trickle calmly into the pools.
