Mike the Headless Chicken Days: 5/14-5/15/2010
Sometimes we’re just in the mood for a little wackiness and Fruita’s Mike the Headless Chicken Days provides just that and more. Held in honor of a headless chicken who survived for a number of months, this off-the-wall event celebrates all things chicken – not to mention honoring Mike’s undying spirit (literally). During the event, contestants participate in a variety of competitions, including the Run Like a Headless Chicken 5k. This family affair is a riotous romp through sheer silliness.
