Bennett

Bennett, named after four brothers who homesteaded in the area in 1863, is a small town on Colorado’s high plains only 25 miles east of Denver.

The town is home to the 18-hole links-style Antelope Hills Golf Course. This agricultural haven boasts plenty of farm activities: Schedule a tour of LaZyB Acres to see alpacas in grazing action. Then, shop for yarn, hats and clothing made from their fluffy wool. Or, book a tour with Longhopes Donkey Shelter, where you can give plenty of love and pats to the many donkeys that the site rescues and rehabilitates.

In fall, join in the town's annual celebration of itself: Bennet Days. Carnival rides, giveaways, a street fair, a parade and more guarantee a good time on the prairie. At Mile High Farms, lose yourself in two corn mazes — spanning 11 acres! — wander the pumpkin patch, take a hayride, stroll the petting zoo and soak up as much autumn as you can. Their Fall Festival is loved by locals and visitors alike.
