Every inch of The Ramble Hotel just feels decadent. Towering walls are painted in shades of black, navy and moody jewel tones, and the floors are made of wide-plank hickory. Crystal chandeliers hang, sparkling, from the white ceilings everywhere. The guest rooms are outfitted with plush armchairs, sleek dressers and upholstered headboards that’ll make you want to sleep all day.
Known just as much for its nightlife offerings as it is for its stylish accommodations, The Ramble also houses the uber-popular Death & Co. Denver cocktail bar. There, mixologists work their euphoria-inducing magic behind the long, stool-hugged bar — making tantalizing adult beverages off their menu or at your request. And just because there’s a bar downstairs, it doesn’t mean you’ll be hearing it from your room. The Ramble’s double-wide walls and high-performance windows will make sure of it.
The hotel is designed to be reminiscent of 17th-century French salons in all their luxuriant glory. Think dripping, crystal chandeliers (as mentioned above), and antique Persian rugs aplenty. You can hold court indoors and out — there’s even cocktail seating on the roof.
It’s the Colorado craft beers at Death & Co. from establishments like TRVE Brewing and 4Noses Brewing Company, who they've collaborated with to create new brews like the fruity saison or sour ale.
Death & Co. deserves a third mention here. Located right downstairs, this NYC institution that’s now a Denver hotspot is well worth jockeying for a seat — and guests get priority seating.
Guests of The Ramble also receive priority seating at Super Mega Bien, an arty RiNo restaurant serving pan-Latin cuisine that’s co-led by a James Beard-nominated chef, Dana Rodriguez. It boasts a separate entrance, but it's technically still part of the hotel.
It’s gotta be the cozy Bunkhouse room, made to sleep two — with economically yet stylishly stacked beds. Soaring windows let in the Colorado sunshine, beckoning you to explore the bustling neighborhood.
“Cool. Trendy. Hip. Awesome. Name the adjective. This is a great hotel. Interior designers crafted an excellent vibe here. The attention to detail is obvious. This place is close to the Rockies baseball stadium and in a great area with restaurants and bars and nightlife. But in the lobby of the hotel is one of the hippest places in the area. A great bar and restaurant that serves cocktails, local beer and tasty gastronomy. OK, you’ve seen that mentioned in other reviews. Here’s what brings it all together and makes The Ramble Hotel a first-class property: the staff. Every time you walk into a place described as above these types of places define the word ‘pretentious.’ You know, the bearded waiter or nose-pierced hostess who act like they’re doing you a favor by being there. Honestly, I expected that here. To our surprise, that does not exist here. The staff is friendly, welcoming and cool. They make you feel like you’re a regular. In short, the staff makes this place. RiNo’s got it going on — from street murals and art galleries to neighborhood brewpubs and nightlife. No matter the season, there’s always something cool happening. Try the nearby Ratio Beerworks for delicious, Denver-made suds, or Barcelona Wine Bar for aromatic, Spanish wines. Make a night of seriously high-quality sushi at Uchi Denver. Then wander the RiNo Art District, pausing for colorful street murals along the way.
