With so many of these activities taking place outside, we encourage you to volunteer or donate to The Wilderness Workshop.

Take some time to adjust to the altitude by strolling around downtown Carbondale, visiting the incredible galleries and stores around Main Street as well as taking in the public art sculptures placed throughout town.
Jump in the car and head out for some rock climbing. Cover your hands in chalk and get up the Frying Pan Crag. Need gear? Check out Ragged Mountain Sports or Cripple Creek Backcountry. If you feel you need a little more experience before taking on the great outdoors, The Monkey House in downtown Carbondale offers 2,500 square feet of bouldering and more.
Wind down in the afternoon with a hike on the Lorax trail. Short and sweet, like most trails in Carbondale, this gem is bike and dog — on a leash — friendly. Bring water and wear sunscreen.
Head to Marble Distillery for a nightcap before hitting the hay in one of their luxury suites.
