Clayton Community Days 2026: Youth Arts & Heritage Celebration

Clayton Community Days 2026: Youth Arts & Heritage Celebration is a free, intergenerational community gathering celebrating the stories, cultures, and creativity that shape Colorado's past and future. Hosted by New Cottage Arts in Denver's historic Clayton neighborhood, the event features live music, youth art experiences, local vendors, and community storytelling.
The celebration includes live performances by Denver artists Cha'Rel Wright and Isaac Points and the Jakarta Band, highlighting the region's rich musical traditions. A hands-on art workshop led by the nonprofit Art in Color invites youth and families to create collaborative artwork inspired by neighborhood history and cultural identity. Community vendors, artists, and local businesses will activate the park with food, crafts, and cultural exchange.
This event is part of the Clayton Community Days 2026 series, a multi-event program uplifting the histories of Black, Indigenous, Latine, and immigrant communities in Northeast Denver. Youth participants work alongside community elders and artists to explore and share stories of the neighborhood through art, music, and public storytelling.
Clayton Community Days connects directly to the America 250 – Colorado 150 commemoration by highlighting the people and communities whose experiences are part of Colorado's 150-year history and the broader American story. Through music, youth-led art, and neighborhood storytelling, the event celebrates how local communities have contributed to Colorado's cultural identity and continues building a shared future.
The event is family-friendly and designed to bring together residents of Clayton, Cole, Whittier, and surrounding neighborhoods for a joyful afternoon of creativity, learning, and connection.
