Overview

2013 marks the 65th anniversay of FIBArk, the nation's oldest whitewater festival and Salida's signature event. Since 1949, every June during the Spring snow runoff, Salida has hosted FIBArk, "First in Boating on the Arkansas." This almost weeklong community event and river festival includes; whitewater events, entertainment, a Hill Climb, 5 and 10K foot races, bicycle races, disc golf competition, beer tasting, air bands, rubber duck race, recycled kid's clothing fashion show and much more!
