Peyton

The small community of Peyton is located east of the towns of Colorado Springs and Monument in south-central Colorado.

On the left side, thin red-rock formations protrude from the earth. On the right green-grass fields lead up to dark-green bushes at the base of the geologic formations at Garden of the Gods.

Be sure to pause for a Colorado-made craft beer at JAKs Brewing Company. Or do a meandering hike at the Paint Mines Interpretive Park, which boasts captivating clay formations in pastel colors and is just a quick drive away in Calhan.
