Love Birds in Colorado

Feed the Birds
Show your backyard birds some love this winter by creating nourishing homemade Colorado seed feeders. High-calorie and high-fat foods, such as black-oil sunflower and nut butters, provide high energy content and nutritional benefits for birds during winter when natural resources such as insects and fruit are harder to find.
Use Colorado-harvested grains in birdseed blends available at birding shops, feed stores and co-ops. Sunflower seeds attract the widest variety of birds, while white millet is favored among ground-feeding birds.

And there's a lot in between!
