The Colorado Tourism Office Offers $800,000 in State Grants to Cultivate Local Tourism Development and Marketing

Applications now Open for State’s Marketing Matching Grant Program and Project
& Technical Assistance Grant Program

DENVER (July 25, 2018) – The Colorado Tourism Office increased funding for its  Marketing Matching Grant program by $100,000 for FY2019, bringing the total marketing grant fund to $700,000. To better serve community needs, the Colorado Tourism Office will offer small and large Marketing Matching Grants. The Colorado Tourism Office also launched a new grant program, the Project & Technical Assistance Grant, specifically designed to assist local government and non-profits’ with emerging tourism initiatives.

The Colorado Tourism Office’s (CTO) FY19 Marketing Matching Grant Program online application is now open!  All applications for grant requests must be submitted online by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 to be considered.  The annual competitive grant program offers financial assistance to Colorado’s tourism industry for the purpose of enhancing marketing efforts to visitors.  The program will award up to $700,000 in grants.
 
Each large competitive Marketing Matching Grant awarded will be up to $25,000, and for every $1 the awarded organization allocates to the program, the CTO will provide $1 in matching funds. Up to 20 percent of the match may include services such as staff time or donated services or materials relevant to the grant project. Each small competitive Marketing Matching Grant awarded will be up to $10,000, and for every $.25 the awarded organization allocates to the program, the CTO will provide $1 in matching funds.
 
The Colorado Tourism Office’s Marketing Matching Grant Program provides funding to not-for-profit organizations in the State of Colorado for the purpose of promoting the state or a region as a tourism destination. Travel regions throughout the state are eligible for these grant dollars, as well as statewide associations, organizations and other nonprofit entities that engage in promoting travel throughout the entire state.

The Colorado Tourism Office (CTO) announces a new grant program for FY2019 - Project & Technical Assistance Grant Program!  Applications are now being accepted. All applications for grant requests must be submitted online by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 to be considered.
 
Each grant awarded will be up to $15,000, and for every $.25 the awarded organization allocates to the program, the CTO will provide $1 in matching funds.
 
The Colorado Tourism Office’s Project and Technical Assistance Grant Program provides funding to local Colorado municipalities, Colorado city or county governments, or not-for-profit tourism organizations in the State of Colorado for the purpose of supporting projects that contribute to the development of the tourism industry statewide. Projects will target the technical development of tourism and support NEW efforts and initiatives.
