Catbird Hotel

Catbird Hotel

Set smack in the middle of Denver’s River North Art District (or RiNo — pronounced “rhino” — if you want to sound local) is Catbird. Inside, you’ll be treated to chill vibes and a gob-smacking number of amenities. And just out the door, you’ll find the brilliant murals, galleries, food halls and drinkeries that make up the energetic neighborhood.

Catbird is the perfect home-away-from-home for every type of traveler, whether you’re looking for a playcation or need to book an extended leisure trip. Room options range from studios to full-on flats. But, no matter the size, you’ll find cool features like lofted beds, multi-functional furniture, massive windows, kitchens and fridges stocked with locally crafted beers.

What makes it special?

Um … in case it wasn’t obvious from the overview, it’s all the little touches that Catbird puts into making you feel at home. We’re talking rent-a-plants, made-to-order breakfasts, a shop that sells chew toys and treats for your dogs (yep, they’re welcome) and a fitness center stocked with Peloton bikes and water rowers. Then there’s the Playroom, where travelers’ dreams come true. This magical chamber holds the likes of Vespas, GoPros, ukuleles, record players (and vinyl!), fly-fishing rods, rice cookers, skateboards, Vitamix blenders, Scrabble and more. If we’re being honest, Catbird is way cooler than our home.

The most Colorado thing about this place

How about some amazing Denver skyline views? Head to the rooftop terrace for stunning panoramas of the city along with opportunities to mingle around the crackling fire pits or unwind with friends over a round of yard games. As evening falls, snag a spot in one of the hot tubs and admire sherbet-colored sunsets over the Mile High City for the perfect tension-melting experience.

Coolest amenity

Get this: Rooms have projectors and 6x8-foot screens so you can binge “Schitt’s Creek” in a big way. Imagine watching Moira and David folding in the cheese larger than life. We love this journey for you.

Our favorite traveler review

“I brought my boyfriend to Denver for a late Christmas present. Everything at the hotel was great: location, room and staff! All 10/10! I very much enjoyed the fact the train was right across the street, and all the excitement of downtown Denver was close enough to walk, but far enough that you weren’t in the middle of all the noise!” — Meghan D., Tripadvisor

Take a mural and graffiti tour of RiNo and sip your way through its many drinkeries (like Ratio Beerworks or Stem Ciders). Shop and snack — on everything from Filipino fare to vegan curries — at food halls like Denver Central Market and Zeppelin Station. Catch a show at The Mission Ballroom or Nocturne Jazz & Supper Club.
