Betty Ford Alpine Gardens

Betty Ford Alpine Gardens is an internationally acclaimed botanic gardens known for its alpine horticulture, education and conservation. It is the only botanic garden in North America dedicated to preserving alpine plant species and their associated habitats. Located in the resort town of Vail, Colorado which attracts a global audience for its skiing and outdoor recreation, Betty Ford Alpine Gardens is the highest elevation botanical garden in North America situated at 8,200' (2,700 m) in the central Rocky Mountains.The Gardens feature beautiful native plant collections, including superior examples of sustainable landscaping, gardens that attract pollinators, native gardens and xeriscapes. Rocky Mountain Ecosystems, Alpine Plants of the World, Taming the Mountain West, and the Children's Garden are a few of the breathtaking gardens you will find here. A large Education Center offers interactive activities and is the location for seasonal workshops, speakers, and events, as well as a meetup location for tours.
