Rafting

For those interested in rafting, options can range from mild, relaxing trips to wild exhilarating trips.

Mild:
Mild options typically include the Class I moving water to comfortably float down the river, some Class II splashes that get your legs wet just over the side of the boat and potentially some Class III wet and fun rapids that get you soaked head to toe! Intermediate:
Ready for the next step up? Steer toward a more adventurous river, the Upper Piedra, in the Weminuche Wilderness. Expect Class I, II and III rapids and even some Class IV big drops. The rapids are sure to jumpstart your heart as you paddle through the exciting whitewater. For the ultimate adventure that will make the hair on your arms stand up and your heart pump quickly, get your dose of adrenaline on the Upper Animas River. The Upper Animas at high water is consider to be the most difficult commercially run trip in the United States! Tackle Class III and V rapids as you gain a new level of accomplishment. Jeep Tours
