Buffalo Peaks Ranch (Rocky Mountain Land Library)

Established along the South Platte River in 1863, Buffalo Peaks Ranch is one of the oldest ranches in Colorado. Currently home to the Rocky Mountain Land Library, this natural history library houses over 20,000 volumes which focus on the land and communities of the Rocky Mountain region. Five miles of river corridor on Buffalo Peaks Ranch are now part of the larger Tomahawk State Wildlife Area, affording opportunities to watch birds and wildlife.
