Steamboat Springs

Here you’ll find an authentic mountain town, the Western hospitality that helped make it famous and some of Colorado's most skiable powder.

With a unique combination of mountains and valleys, three different lakes and a river that runs right through town, Steamboat Springs is the perfect setting for just about any summer adventure you can dream up.

In the summer, Steamboat goes from Ski Town, U.S.A.® to Bike Town, U.S.A.®. There are trails around town for easy cruising with the family, and hundreds of other trails for cross-country mountain biking.

Trade your wheels for hiking boots and head out on one of the many hiking and backpacking trails. From easy strolls with the kids to challenging backcountry hikes, the one thing they all have in common is the breathtaking views.

Steamboat offers just as much fun in the water as it does on land. The Yampa River runs right through town and tubing down the waterway is a must-do Steamboat activity. Of course its Gold Medal waters also draw anglers from all over Colorado and beyond. Check out the incredibly scenic waters of Steamboat Lake State Park and Pearl Lake State Park, along with the mountain-ringed reservoir at Stagecoach State Park, where you can fish, boat, canoe and sail. And when it’s time to slow down and relax, there are two geothermal hot springs waiting to rejuvenate you: Old Town Hot Springs — right in the heart of town — and Strawberry Park Hot Springs, a short drive up the mountain.

And adventure doesn’t just take place in the wilderness. In town, you’ll find all sorts of dining and wining options in a variety of restaurants and breweries that offer an array of cuisines and Colorado craft beers.
