Edwards House, a grand multi-story bed-and-breakfast, is set on a peaceful block with tall, verdant trees near Fort Collins, Colorado.

Edwards House

Find comfort and convenience at Edwards House in downtown Fort Collins on a charming, tree-lined street among historical homes. Being just a few blocks from the lively Old Town Square means you can take advantage of this northern Colorado city’s reputation as a vibrant creative hub. Looking for some outdoor adventure? Fort Collins is also a gateway to classic Colorado recreation, especially on the Cache la Poudre River and nearby Horsetooth Reservoir.

Edwards House strikes a balance between boutique-hotel amenities and the personalized service of a bed-and-breakfast. Built in 1904 as the home of a local politician, its architecture reflects the foursquare style that was popular at the time, while a recent renovation showcases modern touches and Victorian-era elegance. Lovebirds are sure to appreciate this welcoming, cozy space for a romantic getaway, though anyone can enjoy a restful retreat in one of the luxurious rooms or the apartment-style basement called Phoebe’s Place.

Guests rave about the complimentary breakfast of the day, so be sure to fuel up before exploring the town. Speaking of, you can request a free bike rental and pedal your way around the neighborhood and beyond. When you return, you’ll be greeted with afternoon tea, coffee and delicious homemade cookies. Unwind in the shared lounge area, on the front porch in comfy chairs or around the pergola-covered outdoor firepit.

What makes it special?

Each of the rooms is custom-furnished and has its own unique vibe and floor plan. Some feature a corner fireplace perfect for curling up and reading a book next to, while others have a claw-foot tub in the bathroom — in the case of the Collins, it’s actually in the room. The website details the amenities for each room (complete with photos), so browse around before booking the one that speaks to you.

Our favorite traveler review

“It's hard to find a place that you can tell someone is spilling their love into, and Edwards House is that place. The B&B felt cozy, clean and luxurious. It was a few minutes walk from Old Town Fort Collins. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and they provided breakfast, tea and luxury robes. The entire place was remarkably clean. I will forever recommend this place to anyone that travels to Fort Collins.” — Lauren T., Google
