James Madison

As part of the Loveland Historical Society's ongoing efforts to honor the 250th anniversary of the United States, Kurtis Kelly, professional storyteller and performance speaker, portrays James Madison, a key player in the Constitutional Convention, member of the House of Representatives leading the effort for the Bill of Rights, Secretary of State under President Thomas Jefferson, and the fourth president. Madison's friendship and political alliance with Thomas Jefferson will be reviewed; also covered will be the successful marriage between James and Dolley Payne Todd, a case of opposites attracting.
