The Original Star Spangled Banner

The American flag that flew over Ft. McHenry during the Battle of Baltimore in the War of 1812 became the Star Spangled Banner. Francis Scott Key's poem written about the battle became our national anthem. Yet most Americans actually don't know the story and don't understand the meaning of the lyrics. The program commemorates this year's 250/150 celebration of our nation's flag.
