Coolest amenity
Bon appétit! The Grill, the club’s on-site restaurant, is the ultimate après joint serving French-inspired cuisine (think pommes frites — make sure to try these hand-cut fries drizzled in truffle sauce) and cocktails, like a Smokey the pear (mezcal, honey, lemon and spiced pear sure to thaw any chill).
Most unexpected amenity
Want to dry your snow-soaked boots after venturing down the mountain? The A-Frame has boot-heaters in every cabin. Hang those suckers up to get all toasty before hitting the powder the next day.
Our favorite traveler review
“I loved the fireplace, the Sonos speaker, the Samsung Frame TV and, of course, the striking Swedish IKEA village that landed in Grand County, Colorado. The restaurant is amazing and having that next door adds to the experience! Now I want to come back!” – Slav G., Google
Things to see & do nearby
For a morning pick-me-up before clipping on your board, satisfy your sweet tooth at Goody’s with a caramel-drizzled crêpe dusted with sugar and cinnamon. After shredding on the mountain or gliding on a tube, visit the Sundance Chili Hut for steaming, cheese-topped chili in a bread bowl.
When summer arrives, whiz down the curving alpine slide or take a scenic gondola ride. You can bring the dog to hike the winding 5-mile round-trip Fraser River Trail or the climbing Second Creek Trail to witness the blue vastness of the Continental Divide. A mountain drive through Winter Park’s deep valleys and thick groves of evergreen trees will delight any sight-seeker from the comfort of their own car; and those wanting to experience the arts and culture of Winter Park events can attend a lively concert, paint a masterpiece while sipping wine, run a 5k and more.
