Whether you need help with bike rentals or recommendations for how to best spend your vacay days, they’ve got you covered. Jeff has even driven people to dinner so they wouldn’t miss their reservations by walking! And this abundance of good energy spills over into the rooms themselves. A quick glance around is all you need to understand the love they pour into the Spoke and Vine.
It’s all the trimmings! Spoke and Vine features local artists in their rooms and the goodies they offer — like breakfast, coffee and wine samples — are sourced from area farms and merchants, too. You’ll literally have a bit of Colorado on your walls, in your mug and on a plate.
We don’t like being limited to one, so how about two? First, when you check in, you’re welcomed with Colorado hospitality and samples of local wines. Yes, please and thank you. Second, you can rent cruiser bikes right at the motel. Reserve some wheels when you book your room, so you can take a cycling tour of Palisade’s orchards, lavender farms and vineyards, snacking and sipping at tasting rooms and farm stores along the way.

You’re in the land of milk and honey — or wine and peaches, rather — so don’t miss out on area wineries, orchards and farm stands during your stay. You’ll also find ample outdoor adventure. The rust-red monoliths of Colorado National Monument are a 30-minute drive west. A little more than an hour jaunt east lands you on Grand Mesa — the world’s largest flat-top mountain and also home of the new Palisade Plunge (32 miles of downhill singletrack thrills for MTBers). Or hop on the Unaweep Tabeguache scenic byway, where canyons, ghost towns and wilderness awaits.
