Roll through Hugo while tracing the wheels of Ulysses S. Grant’s stagecoach, who visited before becoming president and stop at the Hugo Union Pacific Roundhouse. The railroad played a huge part in the creation of Hugo and it still serves as a rail town today.
See the stories behind Hugo’s history at the Hedlund House Museum or the site of the Hugo Civilian Conservation Corps Camp. Walk along Fourth Street for some of the best antiquing in the area at Main Street Mama’s Antiques and Uniques, Yesterday’s Memories and The Korner.
Make sure to visit in July for the annual Colorado Prairie Music Festival.
