Nestled amid southeastern Colorado's high-desert plains, Hasty is the gateway to John Martin Dam and John Martin Reservoir State Park.

Visitors come to the area for year-round camping, fishing, hiking and birding. Bent County is home to more than 400 species of migratory birds and a wealth of prairie wildlife.

Developed campsites feature hookups, restrooms and are in close proximity to boating, fishing and swimming. Winter brings thousands of migrating snow geese to John Martin Reservior, while summer months are best spent at Lake Hasty, where picnicking by the shoreline is a common pastime.
