Walsh

Located in the extreme southeastern corner of Colorado, Walsh is mostly a ranching and farming community.

Located on the outskirts of the Comanche National Grassland, the land near town consists of some of the last short-grass prairie in the world. Because of its rural, geographic location, pronghorn — the western hemisphere’s fastest land mammal — are found in abundance near town. Two Buttes Reservoir and Two Buttes State Wildlife Area are located a short drive to the north and provide additional wildlife-viewing opportunities. For supplies, visitors will find everything they need at the Walsh Community Grocery Store on Colorado Street.
