Edwards

Nestled in the Vail Valley just west of the famous ski and resort towns of Vail, Edwards is a fast-growing mountain village in Eagle County. Founded in the late 1800s, Edwards is home to many resort employees who make the easy commute to Vail.

Along with the world-class skiing just minutes away, Edwards serves up many other outdoor adventures. From fly-fishing with a guide to floating down the Eagle River to hiking through serene wilderness areas — it's all available around this mountain town.

In town, the riverwalk offers a variety of inviting shops and eateries. From a lively brewery to the quintessential outdoor store, community establishments in Edwards are full of locals planning yet another Colorado adventure. There are also plenty of boutiques, art galleries and specialty shops right next door in the pedestrian-friendly Vail and Lionshead villages.

Continuing in Vail's upscale tradition, Edwards is also home to several bistros with excellent wine lists and a plush lodge and spa where visitors are treated to the finest in mountain pampering. There are also more than a dozen golf courses near Edwards; at an elevation of 7,220 feet, your drives will go at least 10 percent farther than they do on sea-level courses.

The Edwards Corner Farmer's Market, held June through September, is a favorite of locals and visitors for its locally grown and made produce, sweet treats, mountain-recreation gear, skincare products and more.
