Placerville

The former mining camp of Placerville is located along the San Miguel River, near the towns of Telluride and Ridgway in southwest Colorado.

Its beautiful riverside location in the San Juan Mountains makes it a popular rest stop for fishers and hikers. Pause at scenic Down Valley Park for its glittering pond, hiking trail and playground area. The town is also a stop along the Unaweep Tabeguache scenic byway.
