Incorporated in 1940 with just 31 residents, the small town of Federal Heights has since grown to around 12,000 residents, but hasn’t grown in size — it’s still just 1.76 square miles.
The town is located on the Front Range’s main thoroughfare, I-25, between Denver and Thornton and is home to many of the surrounding cities’ commuters, as well as Water World, one of the nation's biggest water parks.
